The Certified copy of his Marriage # MA 749044 shows, at the time of his marriage that he was of full age and a bachelor. It also show that his profession was a Rope Maker and that he lived on Brownlow St. and she lived on Bedford Street. When Gay and Fairy went to Liverpool in 2002 we found these streets to be only a few blocks apart. Also when we were in England, we were told that a Rope Maker was another way of saying the person was a tailor.
All Birth Certificates show the Family address to be 1840 Callows Building Duckingfield Street. The same address showes on the 1841 and 1851 censes. The 1861 censes no longer lists the family at that address.
In 2000 when Gay and Fairy were there we found this address (the Duckingfield Street address) to be part of the University of Liverpool.
